Tiger Shroff doesn’t want to take on Spider and we totally get that.
Tiger Shroff‘s Munna Michael has a new release date. It will now come out on July 21. But it was supposed to release on July 7 along with the reboot of the Spiderman series, Spiderman Homecoming. An industry insider had told DNA once, “Munna Michael and Spider-Man Homecoming are targeting the same audience segment; the one which hops into a multiplex for some popcorn-crunching action adventure. These are quintessential summer releases and are expected to be a lot of fun.” But guess the makers of Munna Michael weren’t too kicked about this clash and thus shifted the date to July 21.
Taran Adarsh revealed the release date of the film saying, “3 months to go… #MunnaMichael to release on 21 July 2017… #Eros #VikiRajani #Sab birKhan #TigerShroff #NiddhiAg erwal…” Now we understand why the producers might have thought of not clashing with a superhero series from Hollywood. They are a huge draw here and in last few years, they have left Indian films behind. Such is the craze for them. As for Spiderman Homecoming, it has a new actor in the title role who got great reviews when he appeared in Captain America: Civil War. That has set the tune for his arrival and thus, it will get people to the theatres.
But Boney Kapoor doesn’t think Spiderman is a big deal and has decided to prepone the release of Sridevi’s Mom from July 14 to July 7. Guess they felt Jagga Jasoos was a bigger threat. The spy film, featuring Ranbir and Katrina releases on July 14.
