CONFIRMED! The Kapil Sharma Show is not going off air

The Kapil Sharma show not going off air say sources!

Since two days rumours are rife that The Kapil Sharma Show is going off air. Speculations have suggested that it will be replaced by Salman Khan’s Dus Ka Dum or Sunil Grover’s new show. The falling TRPs of Kapil’s show have made the channel see red and given the fact that Sunil Grover and co have not returned, it is almost a lost battle for the show. However, fans relax and we got information that no concrete decision to pull the plug on the show has been taken so far. And TRPs are not an issue as it is made out to be.

A source close to the channel informed, “These are pure speculations. Salman Khan is not doing Dus Ka Dum for Sony in the near future. Kapil’s show is on and the makers are not planning to pull the plug. It is all gossip. For all the talk about TRPs, it is true that it is out of top 10 but we know that summers is a critical time with the IPL. The numbers haven’t gone down greatly and the competition for the 9pm slot is huge with the cricket mania. Moreover, we did not have any big actors coming on the show in the past couple of weeks and more. This will change after the IPL.”

If this info is true that Kapil Sharma’s show will stay on for some more months. Surely, people are writing off its obit in great hurry. However, one should consider that Sony does not have anything ready to replace The Kapil Sharma Show in the weekend spot. It is in the top 15 shows of the country and that is not a bad thing. The only show doing better is Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs. It is rising in the TRP charts by the day.  Things have not been going well for The Kapil Sharma Show after the mid-air fight with Sunil Grover on board the Air India flight. It seems a drunk Kapil abused Sunil and also threw a shoe at him. This led to Sunil leaving the show. He has been accompanied by Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar.
