BARC Report Week 16

BARC Report for week 16 (Saturday, 15th April 2017 to Friday, 21st April 2017) is out. Mouni Roy‘s Naagin 2 stands rock solid on number one position. Kumkum Bhagya, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki fared well while The Kapil Sharma Show, Nach Baliye 8 struggled to get ratings. Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik’s episode on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs worked wonders for the show this week. Repeat telecast of Ravi Dubey‘s Jamai Raja got lapped up by the audience in rural areas. Here’s the entire lowdown –

Top 10 channels (Urban + Rural)

STAR Plus, Sony Pal, Colors, Rishtey and Zee TV took the top five spots. Zee Anmol, SONY SAB, STAR Utsav, Sony Entertainment Television and Life Ok took the subsequent positions in order.

Top 5 shows (Urban + Rural)

Colors’ Naagin – Season 2, Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya, STAR Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Zee TV’s Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs and Rishtey’s Naagin – Season 2 are the top five shows of the week.

Top 10 channels (Urban)

Star Plus retained its position as the number one channel in the urban areas. Colors, Zee TV, Sony Sab and Sony Entertainment Television took the next four spots. Sony saw huge growth in its ratings this week thanks to the growing popularity of Jennifer Winget’s Beyhadh and Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. Life OK, Sony Pal, Rishtey, &TV and Star Utsav took the next five spots in order.

Top 20 shows (Urban)

Naagin season 2, Kumkum Bhagya, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs rocked the urban areas this week. Shani, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Ek Shringaar Swabhimaan, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah took the next five spots.

Ishqbaaz, Udaan, Rising Star, The Kapil Sharma Show, Sasural Simar Ka, Chandra Nandni, Naamkaran, Mehek, Nach Baliye 8 and Kasam took the next 10 ranks in order.

Rising Star climbed up to thirteenth rank this week thanks to its grand finale episode. Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan’s presence spiked the fun quotient of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs. Surprisingly, Kapil’s show didn’t work despite of their 100 episodes anniversary. Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar’s absence is showing its affect on the show’s TRPs now. Nach Baliye 8 also hasn’t been able to win hearts, it seems.
